How it Started
Carol McWilliams, Licensed Massage Therapist/Owner. Attended North Texas School of Swedish Massage in Arlington, Texas and was licensed in 2004. Point of Touch Massage Therapy was founded the same year. In 2008 to 2010, Carol was Licensed as a massage instructor. She taught anatomy/physiology and massage techniques for a short period of time at a vocational training institute. One day while teaching students about pursuing their careers Carol realized that she wanted to pursue her own career as well. In 2012, Carol opened up her practice full time downtown west Fort Worth, Texas.
Carol’s interest in massage began at a health fair she attended while working in Human Resources. She felt so relaxed after receiving a chair massage that she administered the same technique to a family member. At that moment Carol realized that she had a gift for massage when her sister fell asleep during the massage. However, it took Carol several years before she would pursue massage as a career.
While working most of her adult life in an office setting/administration, Carol has experienced the discomforts of back pain and muscles spasms to the point of seeing a physician. Just as the pressures of life in general can cause stress she also knows how sitting for hours at a desk and repetitive motion can aggravate and cause stress on the body.
If people were to describe Carol’s personality it would be: she has strong Christian values, is approachable, friendly, has a sense of humor and has never met a stranger. She can laugh at herself and make a very boring subject interesting. She is close to her family and always has something positive to say.
